bound for your discernment in full black dragonskin embossed leather. an heraldic charge is carried on an incised blind panel of specially commissioned smoke and goldenrod marbled paper. the same spanish ripple paper is used for the ends to form a dramatic counterpoint to the sable skin. three gilt edges, four raised bands and gilt stamping to the spine, is ribboned and finished fit for a king. as per the instructions in the original text of the enchiridion, it is presented in a bag, in lieu of a slipcase, so that it can be carried upon the person to mass, battle and crossed roads alike. the drawstring leather bag is also blocked with the saltire keys device.
